The New Jersey Jackals are proud to celebrate Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19, at Hinchliffe Stadium as the team takes on the Gateway Grizzlies in a night dedicated to honoring Black history, culture, and community.
Fans are invited to arrive early as gates open an hour before first pitch for an evening filled with special ceremonies and community engagement. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The celebration will begin with a ceremonial first pitch from Paterson native, Rodney Addison, Mr. America bodybuilding champion, followed by a Juneteenth flag-raising ceremony recognizing the significance of the holiday and its lasting impact on American history.
Following the pregame festivities, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a Black community meet-and-greet inside the Charles J. Muth Museum, where local leaders and organizations will come together to celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth and foster meaningful connections.

Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy a variety of Black-owned vendors stationed around the ballpark with unique offerings the represent the black community while supporting local businesses. On the field, the Jackals will battle the Gateway Grizzlies in an exciting Frontier League matchup as New Jersey continues its pursuit of a postseason berth.
As part of the Jackals Silk City Friday promotion, tickets for the game are available for just $5, making this one of the most affordable and meaningful nights of the season for families and members of the community.
The New Jersey Jackals encouraged fans from across the region to join the organization in celebrating a community of freedom, unity, and culture at Hinchliffe Stadium on June 19.
